[DRR245-ATR243] Motor control with 4-20mA output

Post by user8075 »

Hello,
I want to use DRR245 for an analog loop and i'm not sure that can be done.
What that means: the current motor of a mill should be maintained at 12mA (in the range of 4...20mA). This 12mA are maintained if the feeder motor is correct commanded, and for this, the frequency converter of the feeder motor needs to be ordered with 5mA and other times with 18mA or any other analog value between 4 and 20mA..
Can DRR245 using PID to do this?
Thank you.

Hi,
DRR245 can change 4-20mA analog output value depending on the given setpoint and the process value with PID functions, so you can do your application with this regulator.

Hello, Thank you for your prompt response. Your distributor from our country told me that the DRR245 is not on his stock but has ATR243-20ABC. I can use this controller for this application?
Thank you in advance.

Yes, you can use ATR243-20ABC instead.
