Re: PL700 Update Firmware 4.8
Dear Pixsys Team,
I own a Pixsys PL700-335-1AD, which is currently running Codesys system version 3.5.16.20. According to my information, this PLC should be programmable with Codesys 3.5.16.x and higher.
However, I have encountered an issue when trying to program the PLC using Codesys 3.5.19.x or 3.5.18.x. During the download process, the Codesys software freezes, becomes unresponsive, and can only be closed via the Windows Task Manager. On the other hand, when using Codesys 3.5.16.x, everything works correctly, and the PLC is programmed as expected.
I have two questions regarding this issue:
Is there a way to update the firmware of my PLC to version 4.800 or 4.900? If so, could you please provide the necessary firmware files and instructions for performing the update?
Is there another way to program the PLC with Codesys 3.5.19.x? If there are any specific settings or steps required, I would appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Re: PL700 Update Firmware 4.8
Hi,
I think the situation you are describing is not related to the firmware version of the PLC, however you can update the PL700 runtime to 4.9.0.0 using this package:
https://26282125.fs1.hubspotusercontent ... .9.0.0.zip
following the guide: Keep in mind that upgrading the runtime to 4.9.0.0 the PL700 will lose the SoftMotion functionality option.

Re: PL700 Update Firmware 4.8
Thank you for your support and for providing the 4.9.0.0 firmware for the PL700-335-1AD.
I would like to share some feedback regarding my experience with the update:
After updating the firmware, I was able to program the PLC successfully using Codesys 3.5.19.x. The initial issue was resolved.
However, I had to first install Codesys 3.5.17.x to perform the firmware update, as the window shown in the guide was not accessible in Codesys 3.5.19.x. With Codesys 3.5.17.x, the update process worked without any issues.
This information might be useful for other users experiencing a similar situation. Thank you again for your support!
Best regards

Re: PL700 Update Firmware 4.8
Very good!
Please take a look also the the updated version of PL700 serie, the PL700-340-1AD and PL700-340-2AD.
The new PL700-340 implements, compared to the 335 model, these improvements:
- Always updated runtime and delivered directly by Codesys to Pixsys (toolkit implementation) with security patches/priority updates;
- Retentive variables managed by integrated UPS, no need to use the external component "Persistent Manager" but only the GVL "PersistentVars";
- RS232 serial with the possibility of switching to RS485 to obtain 2 RS485 serials isolated from each other;
- Automatic termination/bias resistors (internal dip-switch disappeared);
- Discovery functionality from DeviceFinder utility always active even when runtime is running;
- Dip switch for "logical" STOP: The runtime continues to respond to the IDE but code execution is stopped;
- About the protocols, the runtime natively integrates:
Modbus RTU master
Modbus TCP master/slave
CanOpen master
ProfiNET device (slave)
EthernetIP adapter (slave)
OPC-UA server
The other protocols can be implemented using the standard SL ("Single License") that can be purchased directly from the Codesys store.
Pl700-340-1AD does NOT integrate WebVisu functionality, Pl700-340-2AD includes it instead.
