Hi, im have atr421-12abc-t and plc siemens 314c-2dp. I had connected pt100 to analog input of plc and i want to show the value of pt 100 in atr421. I already set the sensor type in atr421 to 4.20mA and connected atr421 to analog output of plc. But the atr421 show the error 5. So how can i fix that error? Thank you so much!

Good morning,
In which PIN of the ATR421 did you connect the analog output of the PLC?

Best Regards

Thank for your reply. I connect pin 11 and 12 of atr421 to analog output of plc.

Okay, it's correct.
Have you checked with a tester to see if there is current from the PLC analog output?

Best Regards

Good morning,
The only setting you will need to do in the ATR421 is the following:

- Par.2 [SEn.1] > "4-20" Analogue input configuration
- Par.4 [Lol.i.] > AI1 lower limit range, only for linear.
- Par.5 [uP.L.I] > AI1 upper limit range, only for linear.

By setting these parameters and connecting the analogue output of the PLC to the input of the ATR421 you should read the 4-20ma signal.
If you still can’t read the 4-20ma signal, can you send me a data sheet or PLC model? Thank you

Best Regards
