ATR243-20ABC analog input-output

Hello,
We wanted to use the controller as a remote control to the Frequency Converter (FC).
First of all,an operator should to monitor the actual pressure value. The pressure transmitter (4-20mA) is connected to the FC,and the current is retransmitted by FC to the ATR243-20ABC via input terminals N1 & N2 and monitored by the green LED indicator.
The desired pressure is set by operator and indicated by the red LED indicator. Corresponding current (4-20mA) is sent back to the FC via output terminals N4 & N5.
Common Ground bus is hardwired in the FC to all the analog inputs & outputs. Thus,controller's terminals N2 (input, negative) & N4(output, negative) are connected to the same COM GND bus in the FC .
If the only analog input (N1 & N2) is connected to the FC, we read a correct pressure value on the indicator. If the only analog output (N4 & N5) is connected to the FC, we got a correct current to the FC.
A problem appears, if BOTH input & output are connected to the FC. Warning E-05 on the display.
It seems to me, it's not allowed to operate shared terminals (N2 & N4) on this controller? How to solve this problem?

Hi,
can you send me your wired connection schematics, please?...but can you don't shared N1 and N4. The E-05 is the probe error: it 's correct error if you shared N1 and N4.

There's three current loops 4-20mA in our configuation.

First loop,to read the actual pressure from the sensor. Powered by FC :

sensor, + -------------FC, +sensor in
sensor, - -------------FC, a gnd

Second loop, retransmitted current of the sensor, to monitor the actual pressure on the ATR243. Powered by FC :

FC, out + ------------ ATR, pin 1(+)
FC, a gnd ------------ ATR, pin 2(-)

Third loop, desired pressure command to the FC. Powered by ATR243 :

ATR, pin 5(+)-----------FC, input +
ATR, pin 4(-)-----------FC, a gnd

Hi,
if E-05 appears only after the connection of ATR243 outputs to the valve, means that probably the FC "close the circuit to ground" of the 4..20mA in input, so ATR243 lost the signal.

This happens because analog input of ATR243 is not isolated from the analog output (of ATR243) and also analog input and analog output of the FC are not reciprocally isolated.

You must use a regulator where analog output is isolated from the analog input, for example:

DRR245-21ABC-T (Identical functions of ATR243 but din-rail mounting)
ATR171-23ABC-T (72x72 format, panel mounting)
ATR401-22ABC-D (48*96 format, panel mounting)
