[ATR121-B] setup

Post by user16453 »

Hi, i have purchased a ATR 121-B controller.

We like to use it as tankheating controller,

to heat up the tank we use 2 boilers,

when the setpoint 1 is set by the operator , lets says 45 degrees ,the controller needs tot switch on boiler 1 when the measured value becomes 2 degrees lower then the setpoint (in this example 43 degrees) en switch off when it becomes 2 degrees higher then the setpoint (in this example 47 degrees).

additional to that , if the measured value drops until 5 degrees below setpoint (40 degrees) , boiler 2 needs to switched on also, and this one may by switched of when the measured value equals the setpoint.

How do i need to set up the parameters ?

Hi,
follow this example:

This application allows to control a boiler and manage the 2 flames with a single control setpoint (e. g. 250°C). The flames will light up sequentially as the temperature decreases and extinguish above the control setpoint. The probe used is a PT100.

The parameters apply to an initial default situation. (password 9999 for instrument reset)

Parameters list:
1.[c.ou] = "01.2".
2.[SEn] = "pt" = "pt
14.[Hy.c] = "5" --> hysteresis value for flame 1 on Q1. ((it can be increased or decreased according to plant requirements)
19.[AL] = "A.d.i." --> Flame intervention mode 2 on Q2.
23.[Hy.A]= "15" --> Hysteresis of the second flame per operation Q2. NB: to have an operating range between 250 and 235, the hysteresis must be equal to the Setpoint of AL1.
24.[dE.A]= "5" -->seconds of delay for flame ignition 2

Control setpoint 250
Setpoint of AL1 = 15 (equal to the hysteresis of parameter 23)

Once the correct functioning of the boiler is accurate, it can be decided to inhibit the end user, the AL1 setpoint by setting parameter 30. hide ". In this way, the end user will only see the control setpoint, which is useful for the regulation of the water temperature.

Operation:
Above 250°C extinct flames.
When temperature drops:

A. 245°C = flame 1 is ignited (range of 5°C settable by parameter 14)
B. 235 ° C = flame 2 is also lit (parameter of setpoint AL1,"control setpoint - setpoint of AL1 = flame ignition 250-15=235).

Best regards
